More Police Shootings Around Oregon Include Two In Washington County

While the PPB continues shooting people, other Oregon cops also let loose with bullets, with Washington County Deputies shooting two people in about a month.

--On May 31 in Yachats (Lincoln County), the Oregon State Police SWAT team shot and killed 18 year old Samuel Mullane, a suspect in an assault who authorities say was carrying a rifle (Eugene Register Guard, June 2).

--On June 3, Washington County Deputy Brian McLeod shot and killed Robert Kimball Fox, 52, of Aloha, who police say didn't drop a rifle when they ordered him to (Oregonian, June 7).

--On July 7, another Aloha man, Jeffrey David Anderson, 56, was shot and killed by Washington County Sergeant Chad Lotman and Deputy Brian Wood when (this is starting to sound familiar) they say he pointed a loaded rifle at them (Washington County Sheriff's Office, July 13).

--On August 11, Benton County Sheriffs shot Demecio Cardenas Jr., 32, multiple times, wounding him, while Cardenas allegedly wounded a Salem Corporal and one Benton Sergeant in the incident (Salem Statesman Journal, August 13 & 15).

--On August 14, Gladstone police shot and killed Dean Michael Evans, 23, while arriving at the scene of a reported domestic disturbance. Evans' father said his son "had some problems" and was likely carrying a knife (KATU-TV, August 15).
